For each scenario you should:

• Identify the potential social belief(s) that were triggered within the actors in this scenario
• Explain why you believe this social belief was triggered
• Describe the potential impacts of the social beliefs in this scenario
• Based on your assigned readings by Murphy et al. (2011), and your own research, propose how you would have approached or handled the situation, and explain why you would do so

Remember, there is no one correct answer to these activities. Rather, these activities are meant to give you an opportunity to explore and analyze social beliefs and how they affect those in career advising roles. You might decide that you would react the same way as the actors in the story, which is fine, as long as you explain why you believe that the social belief was appropriate in that situation.
